PSUs like Coal India should list their subsidiaries to unlock the value. Listing will need the appointment of Independent Directors and the management will be more accountable to outside shareholders. Competition among the subsidiaries will improve the efficiency. Improvement in efficiency of subsidiaries will improve overall results of the concerned PSU.
